The grubs hatch and spend most of their life beneath the soil feeding on roots. Most Have rather long life cycles. In heavy infestations; roots are proned off to a great extent. Resulting in brown spots of dead turf. The Japanese Beetle lays it´s eggs in early summer and the grubs emerge in late summer. The key to keeping grubs from ruining your lawn is to stop them before they invade.
